FAQs

Questions, answered.

Who is Shapecrunch for?

It's a B2B tool for clinicians who fit custom orthotics — physiotherapists, sports-medicine doctors and podiatrists. It is not a diagnostic tool; clinical assessment and prescription remain with the practitioner.

How long does an order take to arrive?

Devices are manufactured to your prescription and typically shipped within about 15 days, to your clinic or directly to the patient.

Do I need special equipment or a pressure mat?

No. Foot capture is done with in-app photographs and on-screen guides. If you have a pressure mat or want to record a gait video, you can add them — but they're optional.

What can I prescribe?

Arch support, medial and lateral wedging, deep heel cups, metatarsal pads and pressure offloading — printed into a single variable-density shell, specified per patient.

What are the devices made from?

A 3D-printed TPU base for durability and a spring-like return, with a premium EVA/Poron top layer for shock absorption. Density varies along the device: flexible forefoot, semi-rigid arch, stiff heel cup.

How is patient data handled under UK GDPR?

Patient health data is treated as special-category data. Your clinic is the data controller and Shapecrunch acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement. See our Data Protection and Privacy Policy pages.

Is the app free?

Yes — the ShapeCrunch app is free to download on the App Store. You pay only for the devices you order.

Can patients order directly?

Patients can self-scan and place a direct order, but the product is designed first and foremost as a clinician ordering tool.
